Glad you found a good buyer, sorry you lost so much money on the car but 3 years of service with good mileage means not a total loss of course and paying payments on a newer is not free.


One thing I have only done a few times is buy a really good car and keep it for many years, even modding a great deal can still pay off doing that. I spent a huge amounts of money on mods on some cars and then decided to do other projects but I also knew what I was getting into and also sold off many things by taking them to as stock as possible and getting decent money back. Last year I had a C6 Vette with a huge list of mods and a Durmax truck, between them I pulled off enough parts before trading on a new dually I pocketed $40k more than if I sold them as they were.


It was the race car stuff where I lost the real money, ouch, racing is -$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
