Default Electric Conversion: 97 318ti with M trim

Very fun, great looking, great driving, smooth running conversion EV.
All Mech/Steel work performed by professional fabrication team. All conversion wiring performed by former industrial PLC & Motor drive engineer. Conversion wiring all numbered and color coded. Complete schematic included.

Great project. One of two conversions I've done. I love this car, but now I need a trainer car for my teen aged twins that want to start driving.

Batteries are 12x12V group 31 AGMs. Reliable, predictable range in hilly Fayetteville AR was 20 miles. Now, the range is dwindling.

Conversion completed 2010. Clutch still in place,but I never use it. Most starts come straight from 2nd gear.

Original interior including rear seat still in place.
EV instrumentation includes Voltmeter and Ammeter.
115/220VAC charger is mounted in trunk for charging anywhere.
Power Steering driven by electric PS Pump (2004 Toyota MR2).
Brake Boost with Gast 12V VacPump.
Lexan splash shield under front end running gear.
$13k+ invested not including labor.

206,000 miles gas, 3,000 miles electric
Top Speed: 80mph
