I don't think anyone else has looked into it, but yours is definitely one of the later units. It also helps support the given data. That gives 492, 540, 544, 593, 599, 618, 621, and 646 so the new mean is 582. That puts the 492 as one of the first units made and the 646 as one of the later units made. The standard deviation is now 52. Looking at the normal distribution and calculating the cumulative distribution number 646 would have 10% of the club sports numbered higher and 90% numbered less. The range now looks like it is 482 to 682 (but this could change with new numbers discovered. The statistics still point to about 200 being made (but less than 300). We are also 99% confident that the mean is in the range of 582 +/- 50 (edit, misinterpreted my statistics) |
