eliminating ews on OBD1 E36 is very simple.

Requirement - non EWS Chip to match car (e.g ecu # 0261200413 for 325/m3)

You will need to cut pin 66 on the DME side so the EWS system does not send signal to the ecu.

I can provide tuning software for OBD1. I have, for the past year, run my own software without any issues.
