As it turns out, this was just a fluke as my original key no longer works, but the valet key still works fine. Bottom line...don't leave your key in the ignition or it will discharge the battery. Apparently, once the battery dies and the key is in the ignition, it initializes the EWS for that key, and it no longer works. (catch 22) Also...Don't replace the battery with the key in the ignition. The same thing will happen. For what it's going to cost to fix this, I'll just use the valet key from now on. |
