Haha, same here brother, my K&N is hitting the back of my headlight. I always check it to see if its punctured a hole in the rubber.

My issues lie with that metal intake elbow from downing. There is an O-ring that fits inside that puppy and if its breaks your SOL. Time to hunt for a Oring that fits. Im also missing that aluminum split ring that also fits inside the elbow. So I have unmetered air flow after the AFM. Which means anoying Idle fluctuation.

One big pain in the arse, so Im planning to delete the elbow entirely and re plumb up to the throttle body.

I'll take some pics when I complete it.
