Transmissions all have nearly identical ratios. Even the E46 six speed is identical for the first five speeds to the E36.
Rear diff is where it’s at. You probably want to go to a mid size case while you’re changing it for durability. Plenty of posts on that here because it gets complicated with parts swapping. |
