Most sealed 10" subs require between .75 cu ft and 1.25 cu ft, 12" subs require about the same. This box is actually 1.2 cu ft, I know it looks small, but it is deceptively tall. Its too small to port, it would sound like crap if I ported it. I wouldn't use it in a "high power" setting, but its made out of 3/4" cabinet grade plywood so it will not blow out easily if used with high power. It should put out a decent amount of bass, of course it depends on what you want to put in there.
The hole is currently for a 10" but I can resize it for a 12". I don't want to carpet it until I get a buyer, so that I can match the carpet to the car and not have to redo anything. |
