Compression doesn't really have much to do with what weight oil you use. It would if you're engine is running like a 2 stroke I guess. I have the best luck with 10w-30, only Mobil1 of course
. It tends to use 5w-30, around 1/2-3/4 of a quart over the course of 5000 miles, probably because of the heat here. I would suggest 0w-40 if you live in somewhere that stays very cool/cold year round. If not, try 5w-30 or 10w-30. Personally, I think 0w is too light. The tolerances in this engine aren't as tight as newer stuff.
