Here is SoCal, most of the red light laser camera are disabled or no longer functional, too many issues with getting the camera to come to court to identify and face the accused !!!!!
Don't know about any radar camera's in SoCal for just speed, AZ has them. My recent experience (Drove to Sonoma, Jackson (49 & 88) and then to Monterey) had radar hits from CHP, only when they were already "feeding" on a recipient of a "performance award" or as I call 'em, a Randomly Applied Road Use Tax

PS> My V-1 is mounted to the windshield just above and left of the mirror, never had any issues with that, doesn't obscure my forward vision. My Garmin is suction cup mounted to the lower left corner of the windshield, and that is allowed in CA.
