As with tuning anything, you can do more harm than good if you have no clue what you are doing. Nick G can not get an exact tune for every 318ti out there, he can get close, but it will not be a "perfect tune". I have seen Grand Am Gt's both the same year with the same mods that reacted to tuning totally differently.

When you get into technical stuff such as the computer you just have to educate yourself and start out by making changes in small increments. As for proper equipment DHP, HPtuners, Ls1edit, ect all provide "proper equipment for GM vehicles. They also highly recommend using a wideband o2 sensor.
