Barrie, the odd thing is that I had three stock chips and they all started my car, I also have two different 282 DMEs and they both can be plugged in and start my car with any of the stock chips.

Dinan and turner chips can just be swapped in, but for a custom tune, I had to copy one of the stock chips using a burn2 before it would start properly. When I was using a willem, i don't think I ever got a good read from any chips. Probably just something wrong with that particular chip reader. Burn2 is so much nicer/easy to use.
