Just my opinion but that shifter is too long and not short enough shift. I take the MZ3 and cut off the top so it's top short then the bottom is so long it's 1/8" off my driveshaft where it hooks to the shift linkage. Now that is as short as you get
It has almost zero side play and shifts are maybe 4" from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd is 1" over and 4" up. It's super tight and accurate.
