Exclamation 1999 318ti Transmission Issue?

Hi there,

I recently purchased a 1999 318ti. When I purchased the car it had a slight rough idle which eventually got worse. I found out later the rough idle was due to soaking wet sparkies. I have since replaced them and it was running beautifully although now there seems to be an issue with the transmission.

When I apply slight pressure to the accelerator after a complete stop, it lurches forward like I'm applying alot more pressure than I am and after driving it for a while the Automatic Transmission (Yellow) and ASC+T (Yellow) warning lights come on. The ASC+T light is on constantly now while the Auto Transmission light only comes on after driving it for a while and then stays solid. When I was on the highway I took my foot off the accelerator to slow down and it lurched a couple of times but also does this with my foot on the accelerator.

I purchased a BMW diagnostic scanner and the only code that came up was one under transmission that reads 9A Accelerator Pedal Position. After extensive googling I still can't find anything about the code. Can someone tell me what it means? Or what they think the problem could be? There is another code that comes up 6C Continuous Voltage (+) under the engine category but I was told that was because I disconnected the battery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
