This ended up being my solution. I still need to get another caliper bracket because I shaved it down considerably trying to make it fit. But at some point it just became clear it wasn't going to work. I found some 20mm spacers and shaved them down to 18mm and the fit was perfect with the bracket swapped over to the back side.. You do need to remove most of the curved section of the backing plate for this as well.
