I went with the Magnaflow 14235 and ordered it from Summit Racing for $100. The Stromung was really tempting, but $500 for the parts plus another $100 or so for labor was more than I'm able to spend right now. Instead I'm going to have the Magnaflow muffler installed, get the water pump replaced, and change the fuel filter. I just hope I bought the right one! I remembered 1996 328ti's comment about packing material and checked with Magnaflow. The 14235 has the packing material inside. I'm going to reuse the stock resonator, so it should sound pretty good without being too loud.
