No mods to the long block, just well maintained. Stay on top of the cooling system and oil leaks. I'm not easy on my cars either, they see rev limit every time I drive them. I also did compression test and leak down after I pulled it. Both were great and the exhaust valves looked good. Never had any kind of rod knock or oil pressure issues. But that engine always had 3k oil changes its whole life.
