A $22 (or less) headlight refinishing kit would have done the same thing
The brush on caliper paint works good. Gotta clean the calipers up really nice to make it stay on. When I replace the parts on my cars I always put some paint on too keep 'em from rusting and looking like poo. I just do a satin/flat black engine enamel though. Nice and understated.
