My 97 was not pre wired. It was a challenge to run the harness and wires around the car and under the dash. You have to access the power distribution box and install a relay and its related wiring. Then continue through the firewall and under the dash. You have to remove the steering wheel (Airbag removal) to get the instrument cluster out so you can install the wiring into the connector and add the fog light advisory light and the light switch. The BMW kit comes with all the parts you need, just plug and play.. well sought of. If you are not mechanically and electrically inclined DO NOT attempt it. It took me about 6 to 8 hours to install. I took my time but it was a first time installation and last time I will do it. |
