What are the issues that you're having with the title? What is the reason(s) for the salvage title? Did it spend a couple days at the bottom of a lake, or is it just that an ins. company didn't want to spend $2-3k fixing some body damage? If it is still able to be registered w/o much or any hassle, surely someone here would be willing to give you $4500-5000 for the car. I'd wait a few before I resorted to stripping it...
Post some more pictures of the exterior and you might get a better response.
