Default 1997 BMW 318ti Active, manual (runs and drives, needs work) (4/22 Price drop)

Update: Asking price reduced to $1250 OBO

Car is located in Northern Kentucky (Burlington). Asking $1500 OBO.

I am offering up my 1997 BMW 318ti (active package) for sale. Please note that the wheels shown in the pictures are NOT included. I am selling the car with the stock 15" "Active package" wheels. I have 3 other sets of wheels (including those in the pictures) that can be negotiated for extra money. Also, while the car is currently driveable, the driver's front brake pads and rotor are in dire need of replacement, and make the car kinda sketchy to drive. Unless you are going a short distance, I would recommend trailering it.

-125k miles
-Fair condition, mechanically complete, needs work
-Engine starts without difficulty and idles smoothly
-Does not appear to be burning oil (no blue smoke from the exhaust), but I think it has a small oil leak somewhere
-Check Engine Light is on, not sure what the code is
-Transmission shifts smoothly, but the driveshaft u-joints are shot
-Air Conditioning works and blows cold

-Car was backed into in a parking lot a few years back. Minor damage to the hood and driver's front fender (pictured)
-Clear coat is peeling on the bumpers, hood, and sunroof. Rest of the body has some door dings and chips, but is in decent shape
-Car comes with an extremely rare Racing Dynamics front lip for the non-M front bumper (slightly damaged)

-Interior is complete, but partially disassembled to replace some damaged trim pieces. Radio (with security code) and in-trunk CD changer (BMW OEM) are included. Radio antenna is broken.
-Upholstery is in good condition with no tears, but needs a good cleaning (particularly the driver's seat)
-Rear-view mirror needs to be re-glued to the windshield
-Windows do not currently roll down, due to broken plastic guides (common issue). The motors and regulators appear to be functional. I will include replacement guides at no additional cost.

-Car currently has DDM Tuning coil-over suspension, but it is blown. I will include the stock suspension components, but it will need new shocks regardless.
-Ireland Engineering urethane rear subframe mounts/bushings were installed a few years ago
-Brake pads and rotors need to be replaced (at least the front, rears might be okay for a little while)

Please do not hesitate to ask for any additional information or pictures. I'm trying to sell the car by 4/26 or so; I was originally going to give it to a family member as a project, but he will not be able to pick it up before I move. I just don't want it to end up in a scrapyard...
