The parcel shelf is the shelf that goes over the rear trunk compartment, between the speakers. It is attached to the hatch by two strings and flips up when you open the hatch. As far as the "discoloration", I think that can be remedied with some fabric dye. I've seen a few posts of recolored shelves, and they came out like new. __________________
