You work fast. Awesome to read it fired right up. So, the wiring harness worked!

I'm collected parts for my swap. Like you I found a California Top ti that had no compression in two cylinders - a great candidate for a swap. My donor is a '97 Z3 with the Al M52B28, same year as the recipient ti. Once completed I'll have to get passed here in CA by BAR Smog Check Referee. You have tough emission standards in your state to deal with?

For a working tachometer on a 6-cyl, will you be using the instrument cluster from the 528i donor? Does it fit? Or what's the solution? My donor instrument pod should fit my project (E36 to E36).

I'm curious about fuel pressure regulator. I forget where, but I've seen some on the fuel rail and others under the car by the fuel filter. What worked for you?
