Thanks Joe. I loosened up the trans mounts and crossmember and with the help of my roommate, was able to get the engine positioned.
Steps I took:
- Loosen the crossmember bolts and lower trans mounts nuts to allow more movement
- Driver side mount (bottom nut snug) - Person 1 pulls the hoist/engine over while person 2 checks if the stud lines up
- Person 2 slowly lowers the hoist while person 1 continues to hold it in position
- Put top nut on driver side mount just enough that it won't come off, jack hoist back up until passenger side mount will fit into place
- Person 1 holds mount into place (lined up correctly) while person 2 lowers the hoist
- Torque both sides to 33 ft/lbs and replace / tighten trans mounts and crossmember
