 E36 323ic Alternator compatible?
So I've mentioned it in the engine swaps area but my 1999 323i convertible is toast. I've sold my m3 convertible as well so no more 'verts for me unless I get a Cali roof one of these days. Anyways upon doing some maintenance on my 97 ti I realized the alternator is toast. I was about ready to go buy one but then remembered that I have another e36 alt in that vert I'm parting out. I believe it's a 140amp one. Has anyone taken one of the higher amp alternators and been able to put it in their ti? I did some Google work and noticed on bimmerforums a couple posts but no confirmation of success. I assume I'd have to take the 323ic pulley out as well. |
