Make sure the body is solid, doesn't have to be pretty, but if it has a lot of rust, don't bother. You'll end up with an empty wallet and heartbreak.
But if it's decent and only $250, just buy it. You can sort the rest out later.
Keep in mind that even with a manual, these things take time. Plan on several months to assemble parts & do the work. The YouTube videos showing a weekend motorswap are not realistic for your average person.
