to my knowlege EWS has been around since at least 94 in 3 series and M3's production dates of 1/95 and on have EWSII. My ti is listed as a 95 model year by vin, ie the 10th character is an S which signifies a 95. I cant find an OBDII port on the car either i cant just assume its an OBDII because its late production.
