Having lived in Minnesota you want snow tires on all 4 tires. I had Michelin Pilot Alpins and they were great. I know it's economical to do 2 tires in rear But....although your front tires aren't driving they control and steer. I am sure someone will post they've done 2 rear Winter tires and swear by it, and that's fine. But to truly be safe, I would do all 4. Plus...it helps to have them on an extra set of rims.
