Has anyone in the area purchased an S54 swap to put into an E36? Curious what swaps might be going for. The ebay prices seem to be about $3-4k for a 100k motor & manual trans another $1500. Some are asking closer to $6k when wiring harness & ECU are included.

Reason for investigating is that stage rally rules changed this year to allow swaps from other manufacturers, and I'm having thoughts of going with a turbo 4 instead of the big 6 (so it flies flatter).

My engine is at about 110k now and would include a bunch of extras:

- rod bearings & ARP bolts done before I installed it
- Specialist Components Typhoon II standalone ECU
- merged wiring harness
- VAC ATI harmonic damper
- VAC throttle cable conversion
- VAC oil cooler lines AN adapter, lines & oil cooler
- VAC water temperature tube with bung
- k&n intake that clears shock tower
- mishimoto Z-Line radiator & stock
- euro catless headers (also have catted US headers)
- US catless midpipes (also have catted euro midpipes)
- 6 speed manual (don't have clutch, FW, or shifter)
- RallyRoad steel passenger side motor mount
- AKG urethane engine mounts

So anyway, not ready to put this up for sale (if/when I do, ill get lots of pics), but curious if anyone had thought on what might be reasonable to expect so I can figure out if I want to investigate the swap costs further.

Thanks for any insights!
