I am curious if Powerflex might make some bushes for the selector rod and other areas of the assembly.

are these parts below universal regardless of region and model of your TI or z3 should i say

25 11 1 434 148 Shift Lever (Z3 1.9)
25 11 1 220 600 Suspension (nylon cup)
25 11 1 220 379 Circlip
25 11 1 220 439 Spacer Ring (2)

does shortening the shifter mean you have to replace the boot and knob (not the rubber one)
also there seems to some type of transmission mount protector in this pic you can just see it peeping out
at the bottom ...

what is the part called rubber that is like a boot/glove/nipple that is on the trans .. looks like the shifter rod pushs against it?
The part that looks like rubber where the shift rod looks like it pushes against it is actually a metal joint that connects the shifter linkage rod to the shift rod on the transmission. These can get a little play in them and cause shifter play.

I like the BMW MZ3 shifter as a short shift
