Default 1998 318ti Auto M-Sport

Up for sale is my 1998 318ti M-Sport. Bought the car February 2013 in St. Louis with delusions of grandeur for an M3 swap, but life gets in the way of many things, soo…

Looking at selling the vehicle because I have recently purchased a new family SUV and just don't have the room in the garage anymore.

The car is in good mechanical condition, no check engine light, and does not need anything. I would drive this car across the country and back without hesitation.

Info on the car:
Year: 1998
Model: E36 318ti M-Sport
Engine: 1.9 4-Cyl (M44)
Transmission: Automatic
Mileage: 166,200
Exterior Color: Alpine White
Interior Color: Black/Gray with two cloth/leather seats and black headliner
Serial Number (last 7 of VIN): KC85121
Packages: M-Sport, A/C, Heated mirrors and washer jets, front seats are also heated.

Other Details:
Engine:
Oil changed every 3500 miles since I’ve owned it, no leaks. The following was replaced (with receipts) in January 2014:
Oil Pan gasket
Valve cover gasket
Radiator upper and lower hoses
Expansion Tank
Power steering hose
New thermostat
Coolant flush with proper blue BMW coolant

Spark plugs (BMW brand NGK plugs)
New precat oxygen sensor
OEM air filter

9/13
New rear rotors, oem pads

5/2014
New front calipers, brembo vented rotors, ebc green stuff pads
Brake fluid flush with ATE racing brake fluid

There is no curb rash but there are a few very small chips in the finish.

There is no major rust, except on the rear wheel arches. The passenger side is worse than the driver’s side. These are the typical spots that many 318ti owners have.

The seats are the desirable Black/Gray sport seats with two tone cloth/leather seats. There is a nickel wear through spot on the driver’s side left “cheek” area .
Front seats are manual . (non powered)
The rear seats fold down to create a ton of cargo room. The headliner is black and has some small sagging near the rear overhead light but still in good shape.
Good carpet, no wear spots.
The parcel shelf was repainted black with fabric paint September 2013 and is undamaged.
One loose door clip on the driver’s side bottom right (have a new clip, just haven’t pulled the panel out to replace).
A-pillar covers in good shape, but I have new A-pillar covers sitting on garage shelf to replace.
Overall interior condition is an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Known Issues:
Airbag light on. – Came on last fall when I moved the passenger seat to vacuum, have not had code pulled.
Right rear parking brake springs need to be replaced. (can hear them rattle on hard bumps)
Steering wheel was replaced with same style, but has an occasional squeak (can be heard if stereo is off) to it when turning. (can stop squeak by pushing on plastic steering column underneath wheel). I have a new wheel, just no time to replace. – Does not affect steering or driving.
Alpine CD radio, lighting on right side of the display is dim, does not effect it. – Cosmetic only.
A/M switch – the “A” light is burned out – common for all of these cars.

I have a parts collection that I’ll throw in as well from trips to the junkyard.
A/M switches, window switches, and switch trim, secondary air pump, idle air control valve, passenger exterior window weather stripping. New cabin filters, new fuel filter, and any other parts, and pieces I find.
I’ve also got a set of snow tires, 16” Mille Miglia EV-S alloys from Italy, Goodyear Eagle Ultra M&S Run flats on 225/50r16 with TPMS. That will come with the car.
Asking $3200.00 I will get pics up tonight when I get home

Please email with any questions, I have the title in hand. Open to offers, but no lowballs or trade requests.
