My temp gauge shot up today so I shut the car off and let it cool so I could get home. Tried running the heat to help cool it on the way home and it didn't blow hot so I knew there was air in the system. I parked the front up on some bricks and started adding coolant with the bleed screw open. I let it idle a long time with intermittent bubbles or just air at the bleed hole. Finally she shot up out of the bleeder like old faithful, so I decided it was done! After collecting the spillover in a pan and putting it back in the bottle, it was only actually down 1/2 gallon which should be about %16 so not a big deal as the level has not been checked in a long time - but our cooling systems are very sensitive to air pockets as many of you know. __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ |
