Been battling overheating for a while now, and have swapped all kinds of parts to get the fans to kick on. The real issue seems to be that the lower hose is much cooler than the top. so I checked the tstat and found that it does open an close just fine when put in boiling water. But does it open far enough?
the attached picture shows how far it opens up. Seems pretty small and could explain why the car only overheats sometimes and not others. Any ideas out there?
