Hey all,
I am brand new to the forums, and i am hoping that someone would be able to help with some insight with my issue.
I own a 95 318is, for the past 1.5 months my car hasn't been drivable. The car randomly fluctuates rpm when driving. I could be going 40km/h in 2nd great and soon as i give it gas to pick up speed before my next gear the car just misfires and fluctuates rpm. Same thing can happen if i am join about 80km/h and want to down shift from 4th to 3rd. It also randomly attempts to stall out when in idle or when i approach a red light. Yesterday i changed my spark plugs, teflon taped them so that they don't leak and started her up. in idle when i drop the peddle the car just mis fired and stalled out.... i has a seriously hard time getting it to start up again.
So far i have been to 2 diff. shops and spent about $600 and once the month the car has only gotten worse.
So far, the fuel pump and filter has been changed, new spark plugs have been installed properly sealed and lubricated with dielectric grease at the tips. The O2 sensor has been changed, and one of the shops said they checked my injectors and didn't that they were the cause of my issue.
right now me and one of the shops think that it might be my ECU, a friend of mine thinks it might be my coil pack or my spark plug wires.
coil pack and ECU both seem like they would be fairly expensive parts. And i am just starting to run out of ideas about what might be wrong with this car.
i would highly appreciate any insight anyone might have regarding the issue.
