It probably does have some side-to-side play, but I don't notice it while I'm driving. It didn't require any modifications at all on the E30. It may require bending the selector rod under the car, but mine was already bent from having the Z3 shifter in there previously. The shifts are very short, almost to the point of being notchy, but it does provide very positive engagement. I'm happy with and there really isn't a cheaper option. |
