Lol @ the green electrical tape. Mine has been held together and sealed with epoxy for the past 9 months! I had a couple misfire codes back then, found the boot cracked in a couple places, sealed it and the codes haven't been back since. A few weeks ago, my neighbor(a Toyota mechanic) comes over and asks me to drive his car(an old Ford Escort) around the block to diagnose his "clutch problem". I get the crazy whiplash in every gear, but the clutch seemed fine. I pop his hood and first thing I see, nice big tear in the intake boot. So I show him mine and now he's rockin an RTV'd intake boot
I keep reminding myself to grab one next time I drive past the dealership, but surprisingly the epoxy has held up pretty good.
