Default New 318ti Owner

Recently bought my first german make car. It is a 1995 318ti I assume the m42. I dont know exactly how people will react to my plan but figured it would be a good idea to get some insight in case other people know anything about my plans and could offer advice. The car has been well looked after all its years of ownership even had new bilstein shocks installed in 2017. This car has records that came with it from back in 1996. It has ~375,000 miles on the clock. Bought it from someone for about $400 he couldnt get it to start. He even tried bypassing the EWS by just splicing the crank wire. Turns out the key was faulty but found a wallet key in the car and it fired right up. Plans are to turn it into a drift missile due to the outside having a decent amount of rust. most of the underside has barely any so structurally it is sound. Hoping I'm posting this in the right area. Thinking of swapping out the brakes from a sedan that has vented rotors instead of the solid factory ones.
