I posted a link to a bf.c thread where someone installed e46 seats in an e36. IIRC, they did have to enlarge the holes, but otherwise the studs were in the same locations. Power seat motors have a lot of torque, so you'll probably want to use heavier guage wire than say interior lamp or stereo wire. Also, I'd imagine they draw a lot of amperage, so you'll want to find out the correct amp fuse BMW used and go from there. I'll look for the link and post back in a few. Edit; you'll need to drill new holes in the seat rails and cut a small section out of the "H" beam.
