Just press the button. ASC is kinda useless unless you're driving on snow or ice; I've yet to have mine go active, even when driving out in a hurricane.
As for manual mode, the car won't shift for you when it's active. 1 through 3 are, well, 1st through 3rd, and D is 4th. __________________ -Kenny
