 318ti to 328 swap EVAP CEL ISSUE

I had the same EVAP CEL with my 98 OBD2 to OBD2 swap. It turns out it was a pin out wiring problem to the ECM. I wish I could remember exactly what wires I added or changed but it cleared up the CEL. I remember moving a wire to one of the twist on connectors to the engine computer.. I know this is not much help and maybe you resolve the issues, It drove me nuts until i figured it out. I had to compare the 328i vs the 318ti wire paths, there was a difference in the pin locations on one wire. At least maybe I can save you or someone else from tearing the panels at the rear seats to check out the evap components. |
