Looks like I will be ordering a new outer seal as well. My 96 California had a massive leak on the driver's front corner. Pulled the headliner and found the drain tube completely slipped off. Back on with a clamp. So that no longer leaks. BTW, i used one of these:



Works great, puts equal pressure all the way around the hose.

Still had a leak though, but far less water than before. Did lots of testing involving pouring water from a bottle into different parts of the sunroof drain channel. ZERO leaks, all drains working perfectly. Okay, so let's go out one layer. Poured water into seal between outside of sunroof frame and roof itself. BINGO. Same place as shown in the diagrams earlier in this thread, so new seal it is.

Diagnosing leaks is sometimes easier than we think it is, just go one layer at a time. Until I pull the sunroof frame and replace the seal, a little bit of black silicone is keeping the water out for now.
