Someone also mentioned that their "x" number was two. I know most (or is it all) 17-digit VINs have a check digit. With 6 different numbers for that position, I'd guess that might be a check digit. Edit: Just did a quick search and I was right. The 9th digit in a 17-digit VIN is a check digit, which helps programs ensure the VIN was entered accurately. Justin |
