10-30 and 5-30 are pretty much the same if you're running mobil1.
i used to live up in boston (going to vt, nh and quebec for skiing trips), and it really depends on your driving habits which one to choose. if you do a lot of short trips, do 5-30. if you have a half hour commute each way, 10-30.
just depends on how much time you have for the engine to heat up properly.
i have never run over a 40wt oil even in the summer. id did a 3000 mile trip in 4 days, averaging 90 mph and running 100mph+ through the desert in utah/arizona with nary a problem. |
