Well i had planned on just getting all m44 parts but i realized that the harmonic balancer/ crank pulley would not have teeth on it for the crank sensor and would dampen at the wrong frequency. the m42 and m44 use the same water pump pulley so i can assume that the crank pulley offset is the same and use a late m42 crank pulley. I will get a m44 alternator and ac bracket. Then i need the m42 (or m44?) fuel rail as well. I already have an m42 alternator and an AC compressor with the serpentine belt. Hopefully these will work. Then i need to bend the dipstick out of the way. (the e30 dipstick is on the front) I will be awaiting a reply from jim at downing as well |
