I couldn't agree with you more Rick and you're totally right. Its just that I am a specialist and choose to pursue specialties other than car repair so it won't be soon that I take up the mechanics wrench or torch any time soon.
This car actually served me well in the 3 yrs I had it, I think mostly because of the 1.9L and 4 cylinders since it did 32+ mpg for most of the time. Like I mentioned it was peaking out at 35.8mpg probably because of the new head gasket and recent oil change but even as I was driving it the last few days there were shakes and rattles (and door panels starting to come off) that only an BMW enthusiast can take it from here and those are the hands this vehicle is now in
