I have had similar problems, and found dirt, gunk, and all kinds of greasy nasty things gooped up in the sliders. That makes it hard for the window to go up and down. Use some contact cleaner or WD-40 to clean the sliders (or buy new ones) and be sure to scrape all of the crap out of the tracks too. Also make sure the window is on its' side tracks. Breaking doorpanel clips is not a problem, breaking off the things that are glued on to the doorpanels to hold the clips sucks. TRY to avoid that! | | | 05-25-2006, 07:52 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Berlin, Germany Posts: 258 | Sounds like the metal bar in the motor on your driver's side window is out of alignment or just plain out. | | | 05-25-2006, 09:21 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Driver's window has one of the connectors to the motor unplugged or a bad ground. Passenger side sounds like the splines on the motor drive are broken. If the mirrors are whack too, it's possible that the regulator severed the wires (part of it works like a gear, which works like scissors if something is caught). I've had this happen to me. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
