What do you guys think about this idea: A friend of mine has a '92 325i that he's selling, with authentic Alpina wheels (either the original or softline, I'm not sure). They're 17's I think, not sure about the width. What are your thoughts on me buying them and slapping them on my ti? (it will be lowered by then with bilstein sports and either H&R or Bavauto springs) __________________ She's no longer mine, but I gotta keep the pic Current euro: Black MkIII VW Gti VR6 | | | 05-19-2008, 04:10 AM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | I like the wheels and you got my vote to slap them on!! | | | 05-19-2008, 04:13 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | Thanks dude! Anyone know how much they might weigh? I couldn't find anything online, but in general...are Alpina rims known for being particularly heavy or light? __________________ She's no longer mine, but I gotta keep the pic Current euro: Black MkIII VW Gti VR6 | | | 05-19-2008, 05:11 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | hmm not sure, i think theyd be pretty light though just from looks __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 05-19-2008, 05:18 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | very true, i was thinking the same thing. just to be completely sure...if they fit on his 325i, they'll fit no problems on my ti? same bolt pattern and et? or at least similar? __________________ She's no longer mine, but I gotta keep the pic Current euro: Black MkIII VW Gti VR6 | | | 05-19-2008, 05:22 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: New Orleans Posts: 970 | i know its same bolt pattern, im not 100% on et, i know front will fit same as the 325 but im not sure if rear is different __________________ ^being rebuilt^ until then: daily car: 96' Blue DASC'd ti with koni coilovers slowly progressing... weekend car: 85 1/2' 944 Porsche no a/c, p/s, gutted cat, loud as hell exhaust, loud as hell sound system | | | 05-19-2008, 05:23 AM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Annapolis/College Park Posts: 337 | Yeah that makes sense.
