Hey guys, I'm just testing the waters, but I'm thinking about selling my 1996 318ti. Here are the specs. Year: 1996 Color: Black Interior: Beige/Cloth Trans: 5-spd Miles: 91,491 original Stereo: Alpine in dash CD New Tires AC Blows cold! The car comes with a BMW original roof rack. It's a very good driving car. I bought it a few months ago from a dealer, and am having to downgrade to be able to afford my lifestyle . So I'm looking to perhaps put it up for sale in the next couple of months. Lemme know guys! Thanks! | | | 03-27-2007, 06:48 PM | #2 | Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: PA Posts: 45 | Hey- What are you asking? I have a '95 318ti club sport, and the body is starting to rust : ( All the part are practically new, so I am looking for a good, sturdy body to swap parts onto. E-Loan already gave me the bank check, now I just need to find the car!!! Let me know, thanks!!! Amy | I dunno 'bout PA, but in my state, you would get flagged on an emissions test if you put a '95 motor into a '96 car. The motor cannot be older than the car. They probably would not know if you put, say, a '96 motor into a '98 Ti, but '95 Ti's are special. The '95 motor(OBD I) would not have all the sensors + connectors to plug into the '96 OBD II system. So the computer would be looking for input that isn't there, and you would get error codes, which the emissions guy would see. OBD II is The Devil! | | | 03-31-2007, 03:31 AM | #7 | Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Hoffman Estates, IL (NW. suburb of Chicago) Posts: 49 | Wow your car is exactly the same as mine. From the milege to the alphine head unit. Good luck selling. | | | 03-31-2007, 03:55 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: OKC, Oklahoma Posts: 387 | how much you gonna ask for it? | | | 03-31-2007, 04:01 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Quote: Originally Posted by bachic55 Hey- What are you asking? Get the damn rust fixed instead of buying a whole new car. Buying a new car because you couldnt take care of yours doesnt make any sense. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
