Default Bosch or NGK?

I am going to change my spark plugs soon, I bought the car with bosch platnum plus two and I dont know how long they have been in there so am going to change them to be safe. I am not running boost or anything just minor bolt ons, so which plug would be better for me? thanks

NGK run colder than Bosch.
For F/I people use NGKs.

i hear that Bosch plugs are no good for the E36. I'd go with NGK

If both are resistor plugs NGK runs generally lower resistance than Bosch.

The result is lower spark voltage but higher spark current with a Bosch than an NGK. assuming the same gap.

So typically you run the narrow side of the gap with a bosch and wide end of the spec with NGK. I've found in the same engine I need about .005 less gap on the bosch vs the NGK. This likely varies depending on the motors ignition system.

had a friend run Bosch 4 platinums and his car was hesitating likes nuts.

I'm using the NGKs with Magnecor 8mm blue wires and it runs smooth.

Used the NGKs after reading some old posts from this board.

here are the part #s bimmerparts.com lists for my 1996 (i would imagine it would be the same for others):

Bosch F 7 LDCR ($4.32/ea)
NGK BKR 6 EK ($4.81/ea)

don't believe platinums should be used. some possible related reading material:
