It is just plain dangerous. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-30-2006, 06:37 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: San Juan Capo, CA Posts: 216 | not true .. it is a 5 point harness baught directly from the manufacture 3 years ago... it was purchased as a 4 point but all you need is to get a crotch belt and it will be a 5 point... what do you think would be safer a seatbelt ... i survived a 200mph crash with the same exact harness this is the other harness that was in the vehicle... if thats not safe i dont know what is ... it is very easy to get out of ... __________________ 96 318ti:cat back magniflow, m3 body kit, projector headlights, m3 tails, moded ecu chip, intake, short shifter, highflow cat, front strut, upgraded audio system | | | 06-30-2006, 08:47 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Quote: Originally Posted by TORJTHM i survived a 200mph crash with the same exact harness this is the other harness that was in the vehicle... if thats not safe i dont know what is ... it is very easy to get out of ... | Okay, my BS flag just went up. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 06-30-2006, 10:32 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: San Juan Capo, CA Posts: 216 | i used to do junior draging and i raced my friends custom 67 camaro ... it had 1,100 hp and i hit the wall after i went over the line i blew a tire and fliped 3 times ... i was in the hospital for a week and a half and i was in a wheel chair for 4 months ... believe it if you want or not i really dont care __________________ 96 318ti:cat back magniflow, m3 body kit, projector headlights, m3 tails, moded ecu chip, intake, short shifter, highflow cat, front strut, upgraded audio system | | | 06-30-2006, 10:34 PM | #8 | doesn't care about you. The problem with 4 point harnesses is in the event you stop short, like going into a wall or armco, you will slide down in the belts and push your insides up. I have 4 point Schroths and they creep up throughout the weekend because I don't have a sub belt. But the difference is they are designed to give on one side in the event of a frontend collision. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
